  1. I'm moving to ghana in a couple years..my ex fiance is Nigerian and he always loved the beads..after we broke up I took them off..so to start fresh I ordered more today..i'll more than likely marry an african man since I'm moving to africa permanently..and the next set will be for whoever he is lol

  2. Thank you so much for sharing. This was very helpful. Love your content I got waist beads not long ago and I know that you are not supposed to show them to others they are not supposed to be visible. I am learning more and more.

  3. I'm so glad I found this 💜 I had a lady from Ghana suggest I try waist beads because there's a very strong possibility that I have something called a spirit spouse (I just learned that was a thing like half an hour ago 😅) as well as issues with posture specifically in my hips. I'm blown away with how much information there is and how many things to consider…there is so much to know about all of it, I dont even know where to start on finding or making myself a set that will help me 😓 but thank you, you had (by far) the best explanation of waist beads and their purposes ive been able to find on here so far 💜

  4. I'm Kenyan and we wear waist beads traditionally. We wear them to show a woman has a period and others are given when you get married. We traditionally NEVER show them off because they're considered sacred and it's akin to showing your intimate areas. Men hate to see their wives beads shown publicly because it's sensual and it bonds them. You exactly said what we do with them. I feel weird when i see women showing them off, kinda like am spying on something i shouldn't be seeing 😂😂🤣

  5. Is the energy ruined if someone like a doctor or nurse sees them? I definitely want to wear them for the spiritual reasons, to the letter! What if I have to take them off for a medical procedure?

  6. Uh Oh..I have some plain large white beads (very old) said to be slave trade used to measure girth on male slaves for sale. Bigger equaling stronger I presume. Obtained these beads 50 years ago…not replicas. Any information you have ?

  7. i am part malawian and feel really estranged from my culture, it’s quite confusing being mixed, and growing up around black and brown people yet also appearing as somewhat racially ambiguous, although throughout the years my features have developed quite a bit and i look more like the rest of my family. i have always felt connected to my malawian side however i have no way of really gaining knowledge about where i come from because my grandparents moved to london. i grew up seeing many women in my family, family friends and in social circles wearing them and i’ve always thought that they are so beautiful and elegant but i dont want to wear them unless i know their full context and meaning. i wanted to ask if it is acceptable for me to wear them? i have no one that could really make or fit these beads for me so if i were to wear them, i would research the process and make them myself. it is so interesting, and i feel so connected to my culture reading through everyone’s perspectives and personal experienced with waist beads tbh.

  8. What are the negatives to having crystals around your body? What kind of crystals can attract negativity and how will it affect you? I have so many questions. I got the beads because I thought they were a cute way to track my weight loss. I’d love to know more.

  9. Hello! I’m sorry to intrude on this space, but I’ve decided to do exactly what you said in your video and do some research on waist beads, that’s how I found your video and I’m so glad that I did. I am probably also a participant in the trend, but only because I happened across some in a thrift store. I wanted to take care not to disrespect the history and meaning of waist beads, and I made sure to ask plenty of questions. I just want to say that I love all of the meaning and context of the beads, and I hadn’t realized they could be used for so many different things aside from waist training. Or course it will be different for everyone but I want to thank you for this lovely content. I’ll do my best to carry your words with me every time I look at my beads.

  10. Thanks you Answered my Questions 🌞💜🌞💜🌞💜💜🍯🌞🍯🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋💜💜💜💜💜🍯🍯🌞💜💜

  11. thank you so much for sharing your knowledge <3 i recently got my first set of waist beads, and i have never felt so beautiful and in tune with my body. it feels like a gift that i constantly give myself. the kind woman who gifted them to me also provided me with education on the culture of them, and this video has only strengthened my (now secret) intentions. one question if anyone has the answer: if a past beloved has seen my waistbeads, then what is the best way to cleanse them? i see these beads as gifts to myself always, but i can’t shake the thought that he still knows what they look like :/ i love my current stack, and it can be an investment to buy new ones so soon after these ones so any advice would be much appreciated 🤍✨ sending much love and light
