I usted to approach yoga as a phisical transformation and I didn't enjoy as much I now do because it's the spiritual approach with the present, the mindfulness sensation which brings so much wellness to my life and soul.
Yes spirituality is ones own divine connection, religion is Greek for “to make whole” and at best should be a place for people to pray and work together, learn from masters and learn skills and tools to assist their own spirituality ❤

Today I just had this discussion with a very close friend, that previously was fine with Yoga, but now she tells me I should not do it, because it is against God. I have exercised since I was 12 years old, and grew up in the country in the 80’s, which I called it stretching back then. I was doing Yogi Squats, Happy Baby, Downward Dog, and Child’s Pose, before I knew they had names.
I think of it as Exercise and Meditation, not a Religion.

On the Hinduwisdom site, it states that Yoga is an integral part of the Hindu religion. It says there is a saying, “There is no yoga without Hinduism and no Hinduism without yoga.” According to this there is a religion called Hinduism of which yoga is a part.
