Im 23..and for the last month or 2 i feel like im close to dying…my heart keeps skipping beats..i cant sleep. I become paralyzed while sleeping..and i am TERRIFIED of dropping dead and going to hell. So i am CONSTANTLY asking god for forgiveness….i have a home. A beautiful wife. And 2 beautiful daughters…I am not ready to die..without me my family would not have a place to live..i have to be here to protect them

Ah, 2012. Much more data available now! Most especially the woman that was drained of all blood and body chilled for brain surgery. They stopped her heart for 30 mins. Plugged her ears, taped her eyes etc., and she died, saw and heard the whole event!

In all NDEs, why does God always say "it's not your time yet, you have to go back" (oops)? Wasn't he responsible for sending the dead person to heaven in the 1st place? It surely wasn't the dead person's decision. Who's mistake is it, anyway? So confusing.
Just before my mum passed away she was looking at something ceiling height in the corner of the room which she seemed puzzled by maybe even frightened but my mum was the only one who could see it l looked saw nothing so yes something is going on

Yesterday on the news, it was announced scientists were able to see activity in pigs brains 4 hours after they had died. I’m curious as to what this new scientific knowledge (that brain cells survive death for some time) means for the NDE? Does it mean that NDE could after all be a product of the dying brain?
I would like to mention one aspect of this that I'll not like anyone to ignore. Think about this for a second. One of my sisters "claimed" my mother spoke right before she died, saying, "oh, it's so beautiful!", only my mother was on a morphine drip, unconcious for days and my 'tricky' sister wasn't even there at mum's death. So, be aware of odd agendas, right?

I was knocked unconscious when I was a toddler and my mother thought that she had killed me. I have a extremely clear memory of sitting in a bluish light smiling and and the most unearthly feeling of being loved and I had a different happiness that I have never experienced in my life👦🇦🇺

The belief that consciousness is merely a brain function arises in ignorance of the "Literal Present"; i.e, how long is the present? If what's already happened belongs to the past, what's yet to happen belongs to the future, and what's happening right now belongs to the present–then we must ask, how much "time" passes between present and future: A year…a week…a day…a nanosecond? Logically, there is zero time! Too short for anything physical to occur. Not even the orbit of an electron around an atom! So then, if not in a physical universe, where is the experience of life? Only in Consciousness, the timeless here and now, the ultimate singularity, comprising an infinity of multiverses and all life lived and yet to be lived. Here is the home of eternal Soul, which many visit in a near death experience.

It's very interesting, but I'm still confused that a scientist accepts things like seeing dead relatives as real. Dr. Fenwick is right that the range of possible explanations from the materialistic standpoint is limited, but does that mean materialism must be wrong?

Last weekend after a few drinks my neighbour told me about an NDE experience he had about 10 years ago.
He was always a huge Elvis fan. I won't go into all the details but suffice to say he got drawn into a tunnel of light. Then suddenly he found himself in what looked like a beautiful garden with a big white house and a pink 1958 Cadillac convertible parked outside.
As he stood staring the beautiful white door of the house who appeared only the king himself. Not fat 1970's Elvis , but late 1950's Elvis.
Just when he thought it couldn't get any better , he heard another car pulling up behind him – he looked around and saw a 1985 Toyota Corolla 1.6 coupe with it's drivers side door mirror broken.
A tall bearded man, wearing a long flowing white robe , and with piercing blue eyes, got out of the corolla and pulled a 6 string accoustic guitar from the back seat.
The man (who looked a lot like Jesus, but my neighbour couldn't be sure, since there was no name badge or anything to identify him) walked over to Elvis , and they tore into Blue Suede Shoes , followed by Jailhouse Rock, and then Elvis himself belted out How Great thou art and the man in the white robes looked very pleased!
Suddenly my neighbour found himself back in his hospital bed surrounded by nurses and doctors, where he remained for the next week until he staged a full recovery.
