Join two Near-Death Experiencers—and longtime friends—for a candid conversation about integration, embodiment, soul family, integrity, and what it truly means to return to life after a profound spiritual experience.
Bestselling author, chaplain, and two-time Near-Death Experiencer Peter Panagore joins Near-Death Experiencer, healer, teacher, and author Brooke Grove for an honest, heartfelt conversation about what is often left unsaid: the real work of a Near-Death Experience begins after the experience itself.
In celebration of Brooke’s new memoir, The Beauty and the Broken Glass—for which Peter wrote the foreword—they reflect on how their friendship began, how it has supported each of their journeys of integration, and why authentic community is essential for healing, growth, and living with the lasting impact of an NDE.
Together, they explore trauma, mystical experiences, consciousness, embodiment, and the lifelong process of integrating extraordinary spiritual experiences into everyday life. Their conversation offers a compassionate, grounded perspective on healing and helps destigmatize the emotional and psychological complexities that can accompany Near-Death Experiences.
Having each supported Near-Death Experiencers around the world through their teaching, writing, and advocacy, Peter and Brooke share decades of experience helping others navigate awakening, integration, and transformation. Both have been featured in documentaries, television programs, podcasts, and international conversations exploring consciousness, spirituality, and the profound impact of Near-Death Experiences.
If this conversation speaks to you, please like, subscribe, and share it with someone who may need it. We’d also love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Some Near Death Experiences known as "Peak in Darien Experiences" involve encounters with dead people who were still thought to be alive at the time, or were complete strangers to the experiencer. For Example, Cardiologist Pim Van Lommel has shared the case of a male patient who, whilst undergoing cardiac arrest, encountered his dead grandmother and a strange man who looked at him very lovingly, but whom he could not recognize. Over a decade later, the patient's mother, who was now on her deathbed, revealed to her son that he'd actually been born from an extramarital affair, and that her husband wasn't his real father. His biological father was actually a Jewish man who'd been killed during the German Occupation of the Netherlands in World War 2. She also gave her son a photograph she'd kept of his biological father, and he instantly recognized him as the strange man who'd been looking at him lovingly during his Near Death Experience over a decade before.
