The Near-Death Experience of Stefan von Jankovich,

Stefan von Jankovich was a renowned Hungarian-Swiss architect. In 1964, at the age of 44, he was involved in a severe car accident near Bellinzona while traveling as a passenger from Zurich to Lugano with a business associate. Jankovich was thrown from the vehicle “like a rubber ball” and sent flying through the air in a high arc; according to the attending physician, he was clinically dead for five to six minutes. During this time, he underwent a profound, life-changing near- experience. Jankovich was one of the first people in Europe to publish a book about a personal near- experience.

The direct descriptions of the near- experience featured in the video are taken from Stefan von Jankovich’s book *Ich war klinisch tot – Der Tod, mein schönstes Erlebnis* (“I Was Clinically Dead – , My Most Beautiful Experience”), which was published in multiple editions by Drei Eichen Verlag. Although the book was translated into several languages and enjoyed great success, it is now out of print, and the publishing house appears to be no longer active.
