I like your story so much better than the gnostics belief based on the “banned gospels”. The gnostics speak about Archons preventing souls from ascending to heaven making them reincarnate and Earth as some sort of prison. Does Swedenborg have anything to say on the subject?

We still need to discuss the issue of so called "historical revelation", not literalistic, and dependent on people stage of development, etc. What do you think!? 😊People have great confusion exactly in that area of their theological thinking… All terrible doctrines are growing from that misunderstanding of what revelation can at all be if at all😅😊!

This is for Curtis. I just watched a podcast by a fraudster called Aaron Abke on which Curtis was on as a guest. I was shocked to see Curtis there giving this spiritual deceiver his time.
Abke does not believe in the Jesus of the scriptures. He uses a lot of Christian language; however fundamental he believes Jesus is nothing more than "an Ascending Master" of which there have been many. He does not believe in the resurrection, he does not believe Christ is the only begotten son of God. We are all sons of Gods and can acquire the same powers and healing techniques Jesus had, according to Abke.
What made me sick to my stomach was that he sat there while Curtis was explaining Swedenborg nodding in agreement, when in fact he doesn't believe Swedenborg's teachings about the saviour. There is no one I have ever read that places such importance on the uniqueness of Christ as Emmanuel Swedenborg does. Please Curtis don't go on his spiritually deceptive show again.
Abke is not a man of God. He is a liar and he knows it. His channel is nothing more than a business for him.
I believe what Aaron Abke does is wicked and I hated seeing Curtis on his Blasphemous show.

Abke is a swine. Curtis's knowledge of Jesus Christ and who he was is a pearl, so please, let's not cast among the swine.
When the young man said, something to the effect that he doubted there were a lot of people who were severely evil, I was astounded! Look at all of the Baal worshipers, and the atrocities they are committing, and those just taken over by evil who do evil things, but I still think that goes back to some sort of archon possession!
The people cast directly into hell without being greeted, already being processed here. What if their unresolved trauma that may have caused their narcissism/ antisocialism/ guile/ malice had been unseen to them until after death? Do they desire then tochange and feel compassion or do they continue on wanting to do evil but are still stuck in hell either way? Do they get to go to hospital or is it eternal? Or someone who says they had a waking death workout loss of the physical body, but experiencing feeling as if their soul left? Someone who thought they were genuinely good and more of a victim and justified in some of their actions before this experience?

Very interesting. I am especially gladdened to find these "works" indicating that "these speculations" have been a point of interest and investigation for the entire of historical human existence.
What is most satisfying about your content is the notion that, regardless of whether it's called Heaven or Hell, it's pretty much a continuation of my life now. Based on your presentation, I suppose I will be in "hell", yet I love my life and appreciate the diversity, mystery and adventure of the world, exactly as it is. If I "pass to more of this", I will think I've gone to the "highest" degree of heaven, so as long as there are no "road signs" saying "you have arrived in Hell", I'll be there Joyously in my Heaven.

It sounds like to me that the "newness" wears off over time. Like earthly life, when the newness of a job, marriage or some other situation wears off, the inner character comes out. In a job, the person's work ethic and honesty will come out. In a marriage, a person's true character will come out. Levels of fidelity, loyalty, kindness and patience will either be present or lacking.
On the other side, the newness wears off exposing the true inner character.
Are there day and night on the other side?
The feet are the part that are in contact with the earth. When you wash your own, or someone else's, feet, you're literally washing off earth.
How does anyone really know what the afterlife is like? I believe what the Bible says, but things like saying what it's like a year later, how would you know?

I am against using animals in any way for human sensory pleasure, including consuming animal flesh ,and I had NDE during my surgery . And I was in between two dimensions after the surgery . Famous teacher Dr. Wayne Dyer said "The seed of defeat, is in every negative thought " . It gave me a lot of perspective and lifetime of focus .
I'm so relieved that I will see friends and people who already left from here .

This talk emphasizes that I have NO friends. So I am going to be pretty lonely in the afterlife. I have less than a handfull of relatives. Interesting. It is a bit overwhelming and strikes me as funny, too.
Dude there is no hell thats man made, I know this because I have had an NDE.
Sometimes I picture the afterlife…Heaven & Hell…like a giant hotel with a basement level and then floors above it. What floor you show up on depends upon ur life review. In this hotel, there is always chances to move up through the floors, even if you come in on the basement.
Time does not exist inside of eternity. The measurement of a year would then be impossible. If everything is happening at the same time (moment) meaning the past, present and future are taking place simultaneously then everything that has taken place or will take place has already taken place. It’s possible that the only thing that separates it are dimensions which could explain why in our current state the afterlife remains a mystery.

Ridiculous headline. For those going to heaven, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. For those destined for hell, ur soul goes to sheol to await judgement a thousand years after the milenial reign. There is no year after death.

Sorry for my question @offthelefteye. I know Christian denominations can be boring to talk about because Jesus is the focus. But….what would Swedenborg classify as? General Protestant? I just cannot get past trying to know which Christian denomination is the 'real' church, mainly because each denomination generally says others might go to hell. Protestants are the most relaxed about this, but that worries me, too. I truly find something great in each denomination, and find something disturbing in each. The doctrinal debates are literally never ending.
Heaven & hell are physical, tangible places. Regardless of destination, all of us will discover this one day.
So purgatory is rea; then: people that go to hell for a temporary time of purging the evil in their lives; purgatory! Then after they go to God or heaven!!

If it’s a self selected place where you feel comfortable it isn’t really hell is it. Some people’s heaven is other people’s hell by the sounds of it. That isn’t justice, it’s just providing a heaven for people like Hitler.
