Hospice Nurse DIES, What He Saw CHANGES EVERYTHING

David Parker recalls a lifetime of brushes with the unseen that began in childhood, when he spotted his friend Lee standing on the roadside moments after Lee had actually died nearby—a vision that first convinced him spirits linger. Years later, during a hospital stay in which his own heart briefly stopped, David saw a luminous vortex of souls swirling through the corridors and even played with a little girl named Penny before being revived. Those encounters prepared him for his hospice career, where he routinely witnessed departing spirits: a silent patient who lifted her radiant essence to greet him, hallways shimmering with human forms in motion, and countless subtle messages the dying asked him to pass along. These moments taught him that spiritual reality is always present, veiled only by our reluctance to look.

Loss deepened the lessons. After a stroke left him temporarily helpless—and after a car crash claimed his wife and two young sons—David learned to release attachment and trust that love survives bodily death. Forgiving himself and others, he discovered the creative power of thought and feeling: what we dwell on shapes our inner and outer worlds. Whether serving as caregiver or care‑receiver, he now strives to see every person as a soul clothed in temporary flesh, choosing compassion over judgment, gratitude over grief. His story urges us to clear the “roadblocks” of fear and skepticism, embrace the light within and around us, and live each day in conscious, loving connection with the greater spiritual current that flows through all things.

  1. This is a new edition of the popular interview with David Parker. When recording, we had some audio issues I couldn't fix at the time. In the meanwhile, production tools got better and I wanted to create a better version of the whole interview with David. I know many loved the video, and many (including myself) watch it often. So I created this (improved) version for us, with better audio. Enjoy! And please don't forget to check out David's channel.

  2. Sometimes you get bowled over when you least expect it. I'm very bowled! Lol… This man is amazing. This has motivated me to study even more on this subject, among other things.

One thing I'm inspired to do is how I'm going to change the way I've been dealing with something: I had a terrible falling out with a neighbor, who had also become a good friend. Well, the bottom line is, she did me dirty. She spread false (unflattering) things about me, and it really did hurt me. It was high school lethal gossip all over again. I had to communicate to a number of individuals that "hey, what you've heard about me isn't at all true!" I guess they believed me as they remain on friendly terms.

So I had resolved never to speak to to this woman again. We cross paths almost every day, and I either completely ignore her or give her my most hostile death stare. But what this man said about how we should view people as their soul, and that when you look down at someone, you're putting yourself lower. The story about making friends with the clot in his brain was phenomenal. So this guy has made me resolve to at the very least acknowledge this neighbor, smile and say hello when we cross paths, and if anything comes of that, then great.

So this is literally an inspiration, as I'm inspired.

  3. I love that in spite of the horrible way people reacted to your early experience with Lee it did not deter you, and that your parents were with you on it and understood and supported you. I also love your attitude about all spirit stuff. But when you described the swirling people on the ceiling and that they were like line drawings, I really sat up and paid attention! I had those visions when I was three-not in a hospital, but on the landing of our small duplex when I went bed at night. My bed was on the second floor landing, which was kind of like a hall, I guess. When the light went out I could see all these people swimming around and on the ceiling, and they were as you described like line drawings, transparent line drawings. It was hard to go to sleep. I didn’t like them. But I couldn’t stop them, so I’’d finally fall sleep. I never heard/read anybody else describe them, so I am very glad that you have also had them. As an adult I figured they were ghosts of some kind. I had another vision in that house at that age-31/2 to 4. I was really sick with pneumonia and I was put in my parent’s bedroom at the end of the same hall, probably so it wouid be harder for me to get out of bed so they could keep an eye on me. I looked towards the open door and saw a boy dressed like an Indian, (Native American), waving a blanket at me. I thought it was my brother trying annoy me and called my Mother. But when she came up he disappeared. I decided it was delirium from the fever and probably was. But I lived in a small town where Miami Indians had lived. In fact the University in the town was named for them. (In Ohio) The house we lived in could certainly have been built on burial grounds, or on a site of a traumatic event. Or a nice Nat..American spirit could have been trying to cool me off. Anyway, bless you, and thankyou so much for sharing your experiences. I find it heartening and encouraging and moving and proof of what I already know. We are spirit. And spirit never dies.

  4. You are an absolute blessing to this world. I'm so sorry you had to go through the persecution that town put you through. How small minded they must be. I hope they listen to this and are ashamed of themselves

  5. Thank You. my only man/child gone 8 months today. He loved the night skies ,& knew the constellations. I was afraid to look at the dark skies night. I went out tonight 8 mo today, & gazed . I know he has much to explore. RIP Joshua Amos.

What an incredible story that must be. 🕊 A hospice nurse, who has already walked so many others through the threshold between this life and the next, having their own NDE—it really does change everything. ✨ There’s something uniquely powerful about hearing from someone who’s seen both sides of that journey. Testimonies like this remind us that love and peace are waiting beyond, and they bring so much comfort to anyone who’s afraid of dying or grieving a loved one. 🙏

  7. What a kind and strong man! I laughed and cried at this story. You probably know that in heaven you choose where you'll live and what awaits you. This sweet man is incredibly strong and decided in heaven to take on all these challenges. And you bore and lived this with pride.
I love you too, from the Netherlands 💜 Amen🙏

  8. @David Parker, I was able to communicate this to you once before, with brevity.
You are THE human who has had (& continues to have) the greatest impact on my life – ever.
Your story, specifically about your boys, has the following effect on me.
After getting to know a bit about your life, early life (through your stories, of course), with your grandma & the soldiers, as well as the incident that led your chickens to guide your reaction (you know what I am referring to), I already felt a tremendous pull. Sorry, not to sound weird, but an uncanny connection towards you.
And then, after having grown a warm, affection develop for you with the upmost respect. To learn about your wife and your boys' story. Your complete & utter mourning period & how they came to you & gosh, & how you took that & used it as a springboard to re-enter life, with the special way you treat people and (for a lack of better term) experience your extraordinary every-day events – continues to influence the way i live my life in the most positive way.
Lol, probably starting to sound like a cooky lady. I am perfectly happy to respect you & find you to be a very special human, from afar. Very far. I live in another country & have zero intention of ever trying to meet you in person.

I just want you to know, that your way of experiencing the world, the circumstances you've been dealt & continue to experience, your gifts as well as the harshships & even your worldview (from what you've shared) is very unique & rings true with an authenticity I've been blessed to witness.

Frankly, probably expressing this all wrong. Dave, you are my favorite human, going on several years now – for way more reasons I can adequately justify inthis coment section right today.

Im almost certain if you have this effect on a half French-Canadian who loves nature, residing just a couple miles north of Vermont… I think it's safe to say, you probably elicit (in the most virtuous way) wonder, interest & amazement in a bunch of folks, probably around the globe & who lnows – maybe even further.
Dave , just keep doing what you're doing & your mission (if it hasn't already) will likely reveal itself to you.
Good for you & sorry for the lengthy message. Hope it wasn't too intrusive / bothersome.
