Anesthesia makes body/body part/ brain numb.It has nothing to do with consciousness. Even after the hundred thousand years, science, even in the most advanced stage, will fail to understand and describe what is consciousness. There are many studies and experiments already done by doctors and biologists that proved consciousness is not the trait of brain only. It can exists without brain and body. If you want to understand the concept, you have to study and understand Hindu scriptures and material. Rishis of previous times gave nice elaborations of this concept. It requires a lot of hard work, patience and of course a teacher who has knowledge of this concept.
