I watched my uncle slowly pass away in the hospital due to ALS which affected his breathing. They took his mask off and sedated him and in his last moments, he was smiling a little bit in his passed out state and then eventually I saw the skin go pale and heard the death rattle and he is gone. But it looked really peaceful, his smile brought so much curiosity. Like I wanna know what he was remembering or what was going on. All I know is it was peaceful.
