Actually a lot of people don't think about this but, Jesus said you can speak to this mountain and tell it to move from here to there. Just thinking it within yourself, doesn't really do it. Lot of people miss this, speak to the mountain. TELL IT TO MOVE FROM HERE TO THERE. (IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD AND THE WORD WAS WITH GOD) A word must be spoken. If you are taking what Jesus said literally you wouldn't understand why Jesus son of God has to be crucified to redeem our sin, and etc. A mother keeps praying for her son, it took her years to get what she prayed to come true. Without faith she wouldn't be able to pray for years ….

The fun part: it would not matter the strength of her faith, nor the quantity. She could have infinite quantity and unsurpassable strength of faith, and that hill would remain.
What she needs more than faith is: enough money to purchase the hill, and then get the regulatory OKs to excavate and dump elsewhere, and then hire a company that moves large quantities of earth. She also needs a firmer grip on reality, enough at least to grasp that the parable is parable and not real. But “people of faith” rarely have that capacity.

A better story would be plants and a garden. Same story but the wife expects the seeds to grow into full grown plants the very next day. It’s not possible.
BUT over time, in the next, say, 6 months? Yes.
Also, I believe that mountain, hill, would eventually move. Not tomorrow no, and not the next either. But in 10 or 20 years time that hill would move.
Construction would come, people sell their houses. New buildings and cities rise. Yes, that little hill the wife is talking about would be gone. And in its place in the next 5 years…a new building, a skyscraper, or a Mansion.
