I have a different theory: what if our souls after death become a large lake of souls and when a new human life is formed a tiny bit of this lake is taken to form the new soul. If a small part of the bit taken out contains a soul's memory of a particularly traumatic event, the child to whom the new soul is given may "remember" the event as if he/she had lived it. This may explain why only snatches of a past life are "remembered". Open to discussion.

This is a very BS western hypothesis. With very shallow understanding of what reincarnation really is. Please educate yourself and read about it from an eastern text. Literally all cultures before Abrahamic religions came to dominate believed and know for a fact reincarnation is real. It’s not some dumb sci-fi imagination that westerners tend to make up half the time and is as real as aliens are or they are some prince from an ancient civilization . Your body gets recycled into matter and becomes part of something else and continues living as something else. Your soul also becomes recycled and lived on in another host / body. Most reincarnations are not from centuries ago and you’re mostly reincarnations of an ancestor / family member that is not too distant (not from thousands of years ago bc those souls got reincarnations many times already and into the modern era). There’s plenty of children who can recall their past lives – most of them are reincarnations of a family member or ancestor so their family knows when they come back as a child or as someone unrelated and there’s many documents about children who can remember ever detail of their past life and also get reunited with people they know in their past life (also meaning you’re not being reincarnated from Altlantis 10.000 years ago) and remember the children they had and they actually meet them and have the same bonds. Being a westerner it sounds like blasphemy or demonic to think this happens but it’s just natural to think this way in almost all other cultures and children are encouraged to reveal and talk about their past lives while western children of Abrahamic faith are often shunned and called demonic and told they need an excorcism when they recall these things so they won’t and don’t say it out loud.

An answer to the question about population might be that we don't know how many souls there are, and how many are on the earth at any given time. It's estimated that the total number of people who have ever lived is around 117 billion. Also, some religions that believe in reincarnation believe that it's also possible for a soul to be reincarnated as other speccies.

Hello! I'm a big fan from Brazil, slowly catching up with your content. I'm open to the possibility, but dare to disagree. How do you know that the number of "consciences" available to reincarnation has always been the same since the beginning of the times? New ones can maybe be created along the way, I have no idea how, as everything is unknown. There's a whole idea in non-christian religions about "old" and "new" souls. Why not? Unfortunetly, at this very moment I have a pretty good idea of where Hitler, Stalin, Goebbels, Mengele and Pol Pot can be. It's frightening. Cheers!

Yes, it is possible. But some after what they did to some girls while ME being here, they are not allowed to reincarnate now. And punishments and feeling bad will be always upon them. They are even not allowed to reincarnate into animals, because animals do not accept them.
