People are reluctant to accept non-fungible tokens (NFTs) the same way they were reluctant to accept social media and even the internet as a whole in the early 2000s. The reason Gary believes so heavily in NFTs is for the same reasons he saw value in the internet and social media before most other people did. It’s because humans are inherently social creatures, we want to express ourselves to others in unique ways. Like the internet and social media, NFTs are going to give people another avenue of self-expression that will allow us to share our hobbies and interests with each other, similar to how social media does for us.

Major bubble…and everyone is catching it at the top!! This will crash hard!!!!! Collectibles are desired because people love the thrill of the hunt and want to physically possess and covet them. NFTs have their place but 99% is junk right now
I don't understand you have made many videos about NFT but not a single video about how to make them
Once again Gary hits the nail right on the head!! Just like shooting darts 🎯 and smashing a cricket game!! Your mind is a one of a kind and you educated it the way I’m trying
When fashion and art is no longer enough to express yourself, NFTs are the next step up.
cant youtube videos be nfts as well?
@garyvee Could you make a tutorial how to buy NFTs respectively show us how to buy an NFT-ETF and tell us which one is the best? 🙂
This is great and only 370 views…. We're early 🙂
Love the analogy examples :). The evolution of self-expression continues with NFTs. Love.

Hello! I loved the vid. I've been trying to research for YouTube vid like yours that really explains everything in this YouTube video.Your lesson reminds me of the content from Doctor Ethan. Dr's tips are for sure informative and he really helped me on midterms.
I suggest you see his page out and give the doc a subscribe! 👉 #DrEthanAdvice
Such an insightful video
My problem with NFTs is that you're only buying/making a link to the product, not the actual digital product. I make 3d art that is unique only to me all the time. I understand the value of having a sole version of my art. But making NFTs only gives you a certificate link to where the file is located, not the actual thing. Massive respect to Gary, his audiobook pushed me to a whole new career path, but I don't see the value of owning a link to where supposedly the one-of-a-kind file is located. Not to mention pairing this with ecological devastation that comes with powering the blockchain, I just don't get it.
So this whole thing is based on the bs ideas of social media? Still don’t understand because our art isn’t actually unique
I need to listen to this whole podcast…good points!!!
Please NFT this video
So an NFT would be like the movie ticket you hold on to from that one date or something? It would only be valued for yourself. How does that turn into value you see for someone else? NFT the moon landing? Lol
I’m sorry, but I just don’t see how this is a fair comparison.
Social media is valuable because it allows us to network with people across the globe instantaneously on a scale that you can’t with email or texting alone.
Online dating is valuable because it is easy to use and can help you form a relationship with people you otherwise wouldn’t get to interact with.
Even designer bags and clothing have a functional purpose (even if they are overpriced).
Is there any functional benefit to NFTs outside of social credit?
So basically, my generation (mid 30's) are such nastalgia whores that someone created an entire currency system to capitalize on it…
