  1. Apparent vs. Ultimate Separation

In the conventional, empirical sense (vyavaharika), consciousness (chit or atman) appears separate from mind (manas), intellect (buddhi), and chitta because these function as limiting adjuncts (upadhis) that create the illusion of distinction, like reflections seeming detached from a mirror.

Yet in the absolute, non-dual reality (paramarthika), they originate from, are sustained by, and dissolve into consciousness alone—they have no independent existence apart from it.
They're not separate "as such," only seemingly so due to ignorance (avidya).

    Unified Realization

This resolves into sarvam khalvidam brahma ("all this is indeed Brahman"): consciousness alone is real, with body-mind-chitta as its transient play, dissolving the notion of separation upon direct realization (jnana).

  2. Oo U r from ramakrishna mission.i attend your class many times.but i don't like your rituals so give me a personal class. And
I only experienced the connection bt nature and us. So I want to study more .and experience more.can u help me.i will come to your ashram.

  3. Er… Does Experience Require Subject–Object?

The confusion is just about the word experience.

If experience means a mental event — something seen, felt, known, or reported — then yes, it requires subject and object. That structure belongs to the mind.

But when Advaita says Brahman is self-aware, it doesn’t mean a subject observing itself. It means awareness is self-revealing by nature (svayaṁ-prakāśa). Not a state. Not an episode. Not blank. Simply presence that doesn’t need another thing to confirm it.

    Subject–object is required for object-knowledge.
It is not required for self-luminous being.

So whether Brahman is “an experience” depends entirely on how you define the word.
Therefore, we don't need a mind or body to be self-aware.

  4. why does a 1 month old child not experience this ? ……there is nothing cosmic about consciousness. its just the layers of neurons that we build from birth till any point in our age . these fuckers just stick to a concept and fooling people in the name of spirituality

  5. Beautifully explained?! Intellectual understandings, does not do it… Descriptions..more explaining….. they are palliatives no more than a motivational speech. You get a hit but it has no shelf life. Intellectual understanding which is mechanical, mental activity. The is no bridge from the above to Experiential insight hence an awakening. The description of a beautiful flower is not and can never be the flower. Have any videos awakened you…just more shiny toys… And so it continues… silence is for the finite few, the mature souls….

  6. Our decisions are based on the average of belief.
    We are creatures of average.
Contentment is balance, right in the middle of understanding, hiding in the shadow. Of It's opposite thoughts.

  7. Language trips over itself here. Your consciousness is that "you" but it is partially veiled by identification with the body and the mind. Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras explains this very well. He says the consciousness is like a transparent jewel that when placed upon a colored fabric takes on the color of that fabric. Consciousness projects into and "becomes" the relative limit it projects into. Enlightenment is the cessation of this projection.

  8. lol there is no real explanation. and to all who are interested in these consciousness topics, i gotta tell you consciousness cant be fully explained or understood because of what we call infinite regress or "sky is the limit". there is no way to fully answer the questions, but still, the explanation in the video lacks a couple of necessary information
