Kevin Mohatt was a 60-year-old fifth degree black belt playing ice hockey on Valentine’s Day when he felt like he suddenly weighed 800 pounds. He managed to drive home, stopped at a red light – and died. What followed was over 20 minutes of CPR, multiple shocks, a hole drilled into his bone, and a medical team that had already written him off. His 18-year-old daughter was the only one who refused to let go.
In this interview, Kevin shares what he experienced while he was gone – floating above his own body on a light pole, describing the exact fire trucks, ambulance numbers and police cars at the scene with impossible accuracy, and then being engulfed in an indescribable wall of pure light where he heard his late mother’s voice say “not yet, not yet.” He also opens up about the brutal road that followed – losing everything, crawling up stairs, and the moment a phone call saved his life just as he was ready to give up.

MANY YEARS AGO, MY husband suddenly had the same instant heart attack you did—but he was home and it was "instant"! Zero warning—also a healthy guy! But he didnt survive—-he was JUST SUDDENLY GONE! gone in the time it took to call 911—but they got there in bout 3 minutes, did everything they could, then also took him to emergency room only a few minutes away! That is many years ago now—tomorrow night is the anniversary of his going home to Heaven! But hearing your story, I REALLY WONDER WHAT HE EXPERIENCED IN THOSE FEW MINUTES FROM START, TIL ENDING!!! I WISH I KNEW! I FEEL CERTAIN HE DIDN'T EXPERIENCE ANY PAIN BECAUSE IT HAPPENED IN AN INSTANT, AFTER A NORMAL HAPPY EVENING! I believe you. Thank you for sharing your story. You said that you lost everything. If it is because of medical bills, l am so sorry. Here in my country, Canada, we all pay taxes so everyone can have access to free medical and dental care. Everyone contributes, so everyone is looked after, regardless of their social status. We do have poor people, but they have access to the same care that wealthy people have. I wish you a total financial and health recovery. Lyne ❤
