If I lived a previous life, it was in medieval Europe. Actually, medieval Croatia.
Before I visited Croatia in my 20’s, I had lots of memories if you say of the streets of Dubrovnik.
The details were disconcerting. I thought I might have had just an overactive imagination.
I had a chance to go to Croatia and when I was in Dubrovnik, I kept saying “Ragusa”. I knew where little known alleys were. I knew where the drinking fountains were.
I had continual Dejavu there.
That was 50 years ago now.
The biggest feeling of Dejavu I had was stepping into a medieval gallery that had knights armour and swords. I nearly fell to the ground.
I still have a strong pull to return to Croatia.

Among the Yoruba people of West Africa, reincarnation is a deeply rooted spiritual belief and concept. They believe that members of a clan or family, including parents and grandparents, can be reborn into the same family or clan. Such individuals are often given names that reflect this belief, like Babatunde (Father has returned), Yetunde (Mother has returned), or Motunde (Our child has returned).
Additionally, they hold the belief in "Abiku," where children who die in infancy are thought to be reborn into the same family.
Another belief is "Akudaya," which refers to individuals who died without fulfilling their life’s expectations and aspirations. It is believed that nature helps these individuals retain their physical attributes but places them in a different location where they are unknown. I completely believe this but personally, I blame it on the fact that I have vivid dreams. Those dreams are chances for me to travel, to learn and to grow but recently they haven't been often like I've seen everything and I'm ready to accept the next stage. I also strongly believe in meditation( I mix Wiccan(my dad's side is black so they are very against Wicca/White Magic) with Catholic(Venezuelan roots) there's that too.
Maybe the reason we don't have memories as a baby, Is because those are memories of our past life.
I believe science will discover that our parents have little to do with who we will become.. It it's more the pass down DNA that makes us who we are.

Reincarnation is not haphazard or without a consistent plan directing its action.
The purpose of reincarnation is always to provide the journeying soul with many entirely different experiences—which will enlarge the soul's hidden store of worldly knowledge. It provides stimulating and necessary changes of scenery, of family, environmental personalities and characteristics drawn from genetics—but always that thin thread of the soul's journey will be buried in the subconscious mind and will surface to influence the present incarnation, although the person may be wholly unaware of it. Therefore, it is possible for characteristics, strongly held views or passionate ambitions to be perpetuated from one incarnation to another.
Sometimes the ambitions are formulated in one lifetime and only brought into a successful manifestation in the next lifetime—under entirely different conditions. In such cases, before rebirth, a soul must wait until the world conditions will further the hidden ambitions of the soul successfully. If you can imagine a soul first plunging into a red pond, coming out dyed red, entering life as a red person with all its natural red racial tendencies and educated in childhood to live "red" lives—you will understand that the soul leaves that life with much that is red in his consciousness.
Next he will plunge into a blue pool and he will emerge blue with all the characteristics of blueness—and the life style of blue people. When he leaves the world again, he will have accumulated facets of blue consciousness mixed with the red. And so it goes, life after life, the same soul growing through differing experiences of colors, religions, statuses, marriages, sexes, countries, politics, until finally, he wakes up to the fact that this is what is happening to him and he decides he is tired of all the various color combinations—he only wants to ascend into LIGHT. Then his true spiritual journey starts—and gradually, by moving into one life after another—he sheds the red, blue, yellow, green, black, brown and purple accumulated in past lives, until at last, freed of all the illusions and false concepts of past lives—his soul steps out into LIGHT and reincarnation is no longer necessary. The soul is strong, resourceful and creative—but the individuality of the soul is still inviolate and he begins to ascend into different levels of spiritual LIGHT beyond human comprehension.
I've recently been diagnosed with a terminal condition. I've had a lifelong phobia of death after being raised in a Baptist home as a child. As an adult, I've never had any particular beliefs myself, nor have I felt the need to.
Until recently, after my diagnosis and two times surviving major cardiac events this year.
I can't even express the amount of fear and anxiety I've been dealing with, knowing that I don't have much longer to live.
I am afraid of not existing anymore, forever. It doesn't make sense to me that we would be alive and experience so much, just to be snuffed out of existence and be completely gone afterwards.
There has to be more, there has to be something after all of this.
Recently, I've been trying to find some definitive proof of reincarnation so I can accept my own death. I don't have more than a few years left, and I am struggling so much.

I believe we reincarnate (or will atleast exist in spirit after death) because everything is a form of energy; including our consciousness and the electrical signals that run our brain. Energy only changes, it can’t be created or destroyed, so we have to go SOMEWHERE. Even if it takes a few years, the energy that makes us will become energy that makes a new person; a new us.
