They talk about memories, I actually watched the documentary on prime. But- it doesn’t explain what the fact they were in heaven a place they have never seen. It’s not a memory. It is truth, God is real, Jesus is real. The spiritual world is something you can’t explain. What I have seen I praise our lord and savior for showing me because you will be in awe.

At age 60, I’m beginning to be frightened that there might not be an afterlife. I always believed in something much greater than us, and I’ve been moving closer and closer to God again. But it’s still a really terrifying thing to ponder that there might not be anything after death. I have to edit this by saying you either have faith and believe or you don’t. You can think there’s nothing or you can believe that we belong to the stream, I’d rather believe that our souls are pulled back to love. I’ll take that over nothingness any day. If I’ve deluded myself it doesn’t matter does it? I believe that this life we have will end and we will rejoin that from which we were broken off from. Love matters.
Why do you think Lazarus and the people Jesus raised didn't mention anything they experienced after they died? I became a sda a few years ago and they don't believe the soul exists without the body. There is also text in the ot that says no one is immortal except God.

I saw a video today about a pastor in Nigeria who was set on fire for his faith in Jesus. His body was charred beyond imagination, and he died for 7 minutes. Jesus showed up in the fire and used His fire to heal his body in front of the ones who set him on fire. It converted many of them. It was an amazing story. All glory to God ✝️

I had an out of body experience myself. I prayed for over a year for Jesus and god to please give me a sign that you are real. I saw Jesus one day and it was an experience I’ll never forget. He spoke to me and did not move his mouth. I heard him though and I felt the most love, peace I ever felt. I can only compare it to the peace I felt holding my son when he was a baby and sleeping in my arms. Would love to share more, but only so much space here. Anyway he hugged me, went through me and when I turned around to see where he went, I saw myself and I was about 6 feet out of my body. I was then sucked back in and woke up. I’ll never forget that feeling. Amen
As a theologian and well-versed in sacred Scripture, I agree with you 100% that NDEs are completely compatible with the bible, and inexorably point to Jesus as the central figure of both. Both NDEs and holy scripture point to the fact that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, and He loves us beyond all our imagining, despite our weaknesses and shortcomings. His Blood on the cross has made us worthy, and if we live with appreciation every day for His sacrifice and live lives worthy of His sacrifice, we can live forever with Him. Our goal everyday is to love all people as He loves them. This is all that matters to Him.

Phill Donahue talk show host back in 77 had several guest who had NDEs He interviewed each. I was happy to see it because 5 years earlier I hemorrhaged after giving birth to my 5 years old daughter was born. 13 hours later the nurse was going to help me use the bathroom. She screamed. Doctor rushed me into surgery. I watched him as he was working on me. I knew my momma was upset ( I didn’t know she had come). To visit. I remember all of it. 53 years ago.
I think a question that was missed around @14:00 is that even though Shermer discussed lab studies, but never touched on why are there commonalities with NDEs of divinity? (Cherry picking data)
The blind is a perfect example, a blind comedian on KillTony explained he took all the drugs (LSD, ayuascha, molly, etc) and didn’t see anything, but the recent interview you had, the blind guy could see plus some divinity presence with his NDE, and yet research hasn’t proven why.
John: I also have a skeptical engineer type nature. There is one thing that nags at me. Is it possible that all these experiences, which seem lengthy to the subject, could actually have occurred over a split second due to some time distortion involved in the dying process? But that wouldn't explain the sticker on the back of the fan blade. Please reply.

BRAIN WAVE monitoring is used for legal evidence, determining seizure activity, and for proof of brain death, just to name a few. Brainwave activity is not automatically monitored after coding. It requires some time (depending on the reading). Someone who's 'coded' (stopped breathing, heart stopped) would be intubated, etc., but you don't go straight to monitoring brainwave activity.

The term "Near Death" makes only sense from the philosophical theological perspective because God miraculously allowed the soul to reunite back to the body. Their death state was not completed in the sense that the final destination of Heaven or Hell was not made fully actualized and definitive – a non return state, theologically dead. Their bodies were scientifically dead though, according to natural law, for a period of time on earth!!!!

Hi John, I've been watching some of the near death experiences from Anthony Chene production, and Ebon Alexander. They talk about how we have more than one life. We get to come back to earth many times. There also seems to be vast scientific research into children who remember their former lives. I was wondering if you've encountered this and as a Christian what your thoughts are? It's not taught in any churches I've been to. I get the feeling that we come to earth to learn and experience things and each life we learn different lessons. I wonder if this is so we can become more like God and when we are all so much like him that is when there will be a 'new heaven and earth'. It's totally taken me off the grid of how I thought of this before.

I would love to hear the blind man's testimony before he was using terms that the sighted use, seeing as, even though this was the first time he ever saw, I kind of wonder if it has been tainted by terms that the sighted use, unless his terminology was exclusively changed by Jesus, or he later learned these descriptors. I just tend to think like a skeptic, and my first thought is, I bet you a skeptic would have a field day with his terminology that seems impossible for a previously-blind man to describe, like "white" or "shades of light" or "narrow" in the context of vision, just like I wouldn't expect hey blind person to understand the concept of sharp or dull when visually describing a thumbtack versus a masonry nail.
I went to Spaghetti Monster Heaven during a NDE. It was fantastic. If you like beer there is a beer volcano (you get a golden cup!). There is also a stripper factory so there are beautiful women all over the place and they are very friendly. You only have to see your relatives on holidays. The Spaghetti Monster does not want you to worship him, just have a good time. The way to get to His Heaven is to be a decent human being and not take advantage of gullible people for money.

Have you ever heard of a similar experience outside of an NDE, like an open vision?
I remember when I was 12, back in 1987, walking into our little bookstore in my hometown in germany… I saw this book saying „Life after life“. Grabbed it, read it in one go. My mum might habe been worried for me. But I knew right then and right there that I was looking at some profound truth here that was being widely ignored for some reason I could not figure out. Today I am well aware of how doctors are not free to say whatever they might believe quietly. Our system is build in a way so that people are being kept not only from truths like that. But also from the bible and jesus. I am 50 today. And it took this long for me to allow myself to stand in what I know in my heart to be true. Nobody will ever take this from me ever again. Amen!🙏
