  2. Greetings from WA. I had the privilege and honor of becoming a Santeria in September of 2025.
Both Yemaya and Ochun have claimed my head. I’m their daughter and have felt them in my life since I was a teenager.
I was raised as a Catholic but throughout my life I have come to know I’m a spiritual being not a religious one.

  3. Hi folks I’m omo obatala I have been crowned since 1977. I want to applaud the way this video was presented. It’s useful very useful for those non initiates recently wanting to know who their guardians are. I have been through a lot lately, assault, the passing of my mother who I cared for and who was my sister in orisha we crowned the same day my mother and I, and last but not least job loss. I will survive this turmoil maybe I’m ment to evolve change. I’m almost almost in retirement age technically one more year. For the minimum requirement. We are all connected we should all promote respect and the ability to promote these beliefs. I can only hope in these difficult times in the US we can with the help of Egun,Ifa,and the orisha make Love rain over hate. Thank you for posting this video

  5. Thank you!!! "The key is establishing relationship rather than elaborate rituals! Orishas respond to sincere intention and genuine respect!" I can pinpoint a very specific occurrence, which I am convinced was Oya. A man I was married to treated me horribly (a church musician and youth pastor). I kept hoping against hope, and on this particular Sunday, at the close of the service, as I stood up a gust of wind blew swiftly underneath me and the voice said, "You will come here no more!" And, I didn't. Oh, and my birth name is Yoruba.
