9 months agoOutstanding! I honestly watched it twice and I cried. My sister practices this form of African spirituality, in a sense. I say in a sense because in this video Ba Ba said someone has to chant and translate what you are experiencing. At my sister's gathering, she was experiencing spirits and was doing allllllllll the talking. After watching this, I think here in America some people are not grasping the full scope from an African tradition. I don't want to say exploited. Maybe they understand it diffently. My sister's gathering was very nice. But I see this one here is guided by spiritual elders who really do the work of communing with God and to help you understand your true purpose, then follow it with humility, and truly honor your parents; not ONLY in worship but in one's deeds.
This was amazing. I can't wait to see Part 2. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️

9 months agoThank you for sharing this experience with me. I was not explicitly taught the devine spirituality of my ancestors but always felt their presence. Maleeka, Ms. Joyce and the ensemble are reuniting the Black community with wealth, power and knowledge that is immeasurable. I look forward to what's next

9 months agoToday, I chose to start my day with intention and watched this touching documentary again. I woke up with the urge of a connection to home and I found as I watched this bittersweet journey. We are indeed the endless roar. Thank you for this marvelous insight. You got me crying. I'll visit home in 2021.

9 months agoThank you for this experience. It touched my spirit. It touched my mind. I've recently acknowledged and accepted connection to my ancestors both recent and that which is in my blood which stretches thousands of years. It is empowering, internally! Seeing this film, it is now on my mind to return to the motherland and reconnect and experience the spirituality of ancestors of the motherland. I no not my tribe of origination but I know for sure they came from present day Africa. I'm not doing DNA tests. I'll simply be guided to where I'll find acceptance in the Motherland. One Love! Thank you again!
