Chief Kolade Fawunmi, or Iya Juju, is a writer/filmmaker and cultural worker here in Houston. She runs the JuJu Shop, a tiny oasis in Third Ward where all kinds of magic happens. Iya was installed as one of the first female Chiefs of Ode Remo in 2010 and was most recently initiated to Osun in 2018 in Abeokuta, Ogun State. She is the creative director of the photo series/performance project “Juju Strolling Thru.”
