…………
When we examine near-death experiences as a whole; when we consider the experiences that people from all of the world, including non-Christians, are reporting, the best estimates we currently have indicate that Jesus only shows up in two to three percent of these experiences. What makes it look like Jesus is more dominant is that some of the most famous and influential NDEs that have been reported come wrapped in Christian packages. This includes the NDEs of such people as Dr. George Ritchie (who was the inspiration behind Dr. Raymond Mood’s groundbreaking book, “Life After Life”), Howard Storm, Betty J. Eadie, Don Piper, Ian McCormack, Mickey Robinson, Colton Burpo, Dr. Mary Neal, Chris Markey, Yvonne Sneeden, Annabel Beam, Jeff Olsen, Chris Russell, Emanuel Swedenborg, and many more.
Western civilization, especially America, is also dominated by Christians and Christian traditions. That means that the western media and, by extension, much of the global communications network, is heavily influenced by Christian sensibilities. And this, in turn, produces more reporting of NDEs with overtly Christian themes which generate higher ratings, produce more best sellers, and make more money than less Christian, less dramatic NDEs.
But there is another inescapable truth to consider.
If you wash away the dirt that has been piled on Jesus for the last two thousand years and go back to the earliest records, which pre-date both Christianity and the New Testament, you discover someone that is astonishingly aligned with the core truths presented in NDEs around the world. Simply put: the original Jesus is one of the biggest, boldest, most courageous champions of near-death experiences and their core message of love that ever existed. There is, in fact, no other historical figure who embodies that core truths presented by NDEs more fully than Jesus. This talk explores this fascinating topic.

4 months agoYou may already know this, but here's another correlation between Jesus and NDEs. Notice in the video how George Ritchie describes the light, he says it was extremely intense or bright. Oftentimes you'll also hear this description from other NDErs, that it was so bright, that it would blind them if they were in their physical bodies.
So did someone ever describe seeing a light entity that was so bright that it blinded them? Yes, Paul while on Earth when he encountered Jesus, who appeared as a bright light that blinded him for a few days.

4 months agoThis is interesting, but incomplete. It focuses on the "nice" Jesus and completely ignores the "angry" Jesus of Matthew 3:10,12; 5:17; 7:13-14; 8:12; 8:21; 10:14-15; 10:21; 10:34-36; 11:20-24, etc. I could go on and list many more. Unless you want to discredit the Bible, how do you reconcile Jesus being the embodiment of God (who loves all) on the one hand and the deliverer of fire and brimstone on the other?

4 months agoI believe you mentioned Mellen Thomas Benedict when referring to the light changing forms based on the person's beliefs. Bettie Eddie also said this, but she says ultimately this being was God or Jesus if I recall, but it still changes form to help ease the transition for people with non-Christian beliefs, to help lessen their shock.

4 months agoMost Christians today say believing in Jesus is sufficient. NDEs show that what's important is not believing in Jesus, but rather applying what Jesus actually taught which is love God an others. Jesus also said if you love me, you'll keep my commandment and my commandment is that you love one another. So we love God, by loving others. Also Jesus said those who go into everlasting punishment, aren't people who didn't believe in him, but rather it's people who didn't feed and clothed those in need, or love others. So NDEs actually support what Jesus taught himself. For archaeological and supernatural evidence for Jesus, I also recommend looking up Ron Wyatt.
