"It's this new way of seeing the world between oppressors and opressed"
Funny, I've heard that divide thing in the rhetoric of marxists since the last century, it doesn't sound that new to me XD

If there's one silver lining to the UCLA incident, LA cops handed us an great argument to Defund the Police. They just stood aside and did nothing for 3 hours. It's pretty hard to spin that as training issue.

"Islamic interest groups are infesting our institutions and funding protests" is just antisemitic conspiracies in a new hat.

I had been watching this episode in chunks over the last couple weeks. When you mentioned PCU for the last time, I had a moment where I was like: Damn Cody won't stop talking about this stupid ass movie in recent episodes, until the penny dropped and I realised it was just in this episode.

I am 33 years old and a former university student and watching the protest situation take form over the last 6 months or so, my gut reaction and still predominant thinking is that these are not organic. The protests were not set up at these universities by students. At many of the events, protesters in full masks are there chanting Hamas slogans, like 'Death to America, Death to Israel' and other classics. I'm not even half way through this video so hopefully you address this, but everything I've seen from both sides of the news spectrum discussing the campus protests strongly suggests outside influence playing a main role into their organization and follow through. That boilerplate response to the question 'Why are you protesting?' 'Talk to the organizers'. speaks volumes to me. Does that seem like an ordinary response from a college student who is there because they feel their government is complicit in the murder of civilians? No fucking way, that is like exactly opposite of what I would think a politically minded college student activist would say in that situation. Aren't they there to bring awareness to the genocide? Yet when the soapbox is placed at their feet they say Talk to my lawyer? Nope. Not buying it.

It's almost as if news organizations being owned by large corporations and which rely on paid advertising for funding were a bad thing

Hey, you know what movie I liked in 1994, when I was 22 …

All these news anchors and anti-palestinian ppl saying that these kids don't even know what they're protesting. They only say that bc most of these encampments are highly organized and incredibly smart and refuse to speak to these ppl bc they know it'll be clipped and taken out of context etc. it's not hard to learn about media training

"Where are all of the adults on these college campuses!?"

    God. News journalism is dead.

I am really curious what level of organization that these city officials were expecting from a student protest. I was apart of several student organizations and was even an officer for one of the groups. I know the university that I went to insisted that organizations consider certain aspects (safety, food/water, medical care) when putting on certain events, so these individual's holding these protests would use this knowledge towards other events. Some of the organizing they did could be easily organized over a simple discord channel.

The lies and leaps of logic used by FOX News and other right-wing outlets are not confusing at all; in fact they make complete sense when you consider their worldview.

To conservatives, children and young adults are not people. They are automatons – empty vessels waiting to be filled with the animating force of ideology.

Therefore, from a conservative perspective, there is no way that these students could come to any conclusions on their own or hold any views with conviction. They can only be corrupted, deceived, and misled by evil. That justifies the use of force to crush any dissent … “it’s for their own good.”

Glad to see that Cody didn’t unalive from CO2 poisoning. He’d been breathing yeast exhaust from the corn cream throughout filming, after all.

No true right-wing male will EVER "LET THEIR WIFE/WIVES SPEAK" MSNBC has terminated or muzzled all of its truthful, objective, ethical, and or moral journalists.

So far an hour into this episode the only thing that really stands out and was glossed over was that the president of a private schools called the cops to shut down protests. The rest of the witty dialogue of this episode was useless and wasted.

As a UCLA student the situation around the protest was shocking to me. One day pro-israel protests and nazis team up to brutalize peaceful protestors. I could hear the fireworks they lobbed into the camp from my dorm. The police didn’t do anything for 4 hours, and they finally decided to break it up at 3 AM. AFAIK, no more than like 5 of the people involved there have been arrested, when there were hundreds of assaults captured in live 4k for anyone to see. Then the next day I saw (not exaggerating) around 300-500 CHP, LAPD, and other agencies’ police officers shoot flash bangs and rubber bullets at the same students and arresting them, also around 3AM. Kept me awake until the morning. Just a horrifying and eye opening reminder of where our priorities really lie
