Repentance is one of the first principles of the gospel and is essential to our temporal and eternal happiness. It is much more than just acknowledging wrongdoings. It is a change of mind and heart that gives us a fresh view about God, about ourselves, and about the world. It includes turning away from sin and turning to God for forgiveness. It is motivated by love for God and the sincere desire to obey His commandments. The Need for Repentance The Lord has declared that “no unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of heaven” (Alma 11:37). Our sins make us unclean—unworthy to return and dwell in the presence of our Heavenly Father. They also bring anguish to our soul in this life. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, our Father in Heaven has provided the only way for us to be forgiven of our sins (see Forgiveness).

Jesus Christ suffered the penalty for our sins so we can be forgiven if we sincerely repent. As we repent and rely on His saving grace, we will be cleansed from sin. Elements of Repentance Repentance is sometimes a painful process, but it leads to forgiveness and lasting peace. Through the prophet Isaiah, the Lord said, “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18). In this dispensation the Lord has promised, “He who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven, and I, the Lord, remember them no more” (Doctrine and Covenants 58:42). Repentance includes the following elements: Faith in Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The power of sin is great. To become free from it, we must turn to our Heavenly Father, pray in faith, and act as He asks us to. Satan may try to convince us that we are not worthy to pray—that our Father in Heaven is so displeased with us that He will never hear our prayers. This is a lie. Our Father in Heaven is always ready to help if we will come to Him with a repentant heart. He has the power to heal us and to help us triumph over sin.

Repentance is an act of faith in Jesus Christ—an acknowledgment of the power of His Atonement. We can be forgiven only on His terms. As we gratefully recognize His Atonement and His power to cleanse us from sin, we are able to “exercise [our] faith unto repentance” (Alma 34:17) Sorrow for Sin. In order to be forgiven, we must first acknowledge within ourselves that we have sinned. If we are striving to live the gospel, such an acknowledgment will lead to “godly sorrow,” which “worketh repentance to salvation” (2 Corinthians 7:10). Godly sorrow does not come because of the natural consequences of sin or because of a fear of punishment; rather, it comes from the knowledge that we have, through our actions, displeased our Heavenly Father and our Savior. When we experience godly sorrow, we have a sincere desire for change and a willingness to submit to every requirement for forgiveness. Confession. “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy” (Proverbs 28:13). Essential to forgiveness is a willingness to disclose fully to our Heavenly Father all that we have done. We must kneel before Him in humble prayer, acknowledging our sins. We confess our shame and guilt, and then plead for help. Serious transgressions, such as violations of the law of chastity, may jeopardize a person’s membership in the Church. Therefore, such sins need to be confessed to both the Lord and His priesthood representatives in the Church. This is done under the care of a bishop or branch president and possibly a stake or mission president, who serve as watchmen and judges in the Church. While only the Lord can forgive sins, these priesthood leaders play a critical role in the process of repentance. They will keep confessions confidential and help throughout the process of repentance.

Abandonment of Sin. Although confession is an essential element of repentance, it is not enough. The Lord has said, “By this ye may know if a man repenteth of his sins—behold, he will confess them and forsake them” (Doctrine and Covenants 58:43). We must maintain an unyielding, permanent resolve that we will never repeat the transgression. When we keep this commitment, we will never experience the pain of that sin again. We must flee immediately from any compromising situation. If a certain situation causes us to sin or may cause us to sin, we must leave. We cannot linger in temptation and expect to overcome sin.

Restitution. We must restore as far as possible all that has been damaged by our actions, whether that is someone’s property or someone’s good reputation. Willing restitution shows the Lord that we will do all we can to repent. Righteous Living. It is not enough to simply try to resist evil or empty our lives of sin. We must fill our lives with righteousness and engage in activities that bring spiritual power. We must immerse ourselves in the scriptures and pray daily for the Lord to give us strength beyond our own. At times, we should fast for special blessings. Full obedience brings the complete power of the gospel into our lives, including increased strength to overcome our weaknesses. This obedience includes actions we might not initially consider part of repentance, such as attending meetings, paying tithing, giving service, and forgiving others. The Lord promised, “He that repents and does the commandments of the Lord shall be forgiven” (Doctrine and Covenants 1:32). To repent and be baptized in order to received the remission of your sins and received the gift of the Holy Ghost/ Holy Spirit. Draw closer to our Savior Jesus Christ, there's no time for doubt and delay, the Lord will sort us out in the end.

I see visions every night and I can say the hearafter is real and the second part of our lives.

Pleasure requires pain by definition. Heaven requires hell. It's spicy.

  4. #4

This is not true. No kids are in hell. Jesus and believing in him is the ONLY way to heaven. Be ashamed of yourself

    Want to have everlasting life?

    Well here it is.

Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who realize that they are sinners deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever they trusted in before, if indeed they trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.

Jesus paid for all the sins of all the world at the cross (past, present, and future).

That payment is put to your account when you have believed on Christ alone for salvation.

God can blot you from the book of life even you are a Christian. Praying and porn don’t go together. You can’t go to heaven unless you’re holy Hebrews 12:14, “Pursue peace with all men and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord”. Seek Jesus with all your heart, mind and soul and make a genuine relationship with Him.

Thank you Lee for this channel. Watching NDEs was instrumental in my healing and path towards finding the truth.

In July 2022 after the birth of my daughter, I suffered postpartum psychosis and also had demons and had to be delivered. I believe the demons came from me opening doors e.g. dabbling in/seeking out mediums to contact dead loved ones, trauma through being raped and sexually abused, suffering a molar pregnancy loss, and years of willful sin. I was in and out of emergency rooms (my heart stopped, I had seizures) and even had a short stint in the psychiatric ward. At the worst point, I thought I was the devil. Then, I felt that if I was the devil, I deserved hell when I die. That first month, I had to live with my mom in order to not be a danger to myself or my baby. I was plagued with nightmares about killing myself in order to protect my baby. I literally lost my mind. My husband and his mom took care of the baby at home. These past several months, I've tried to seek out the truth and God continues to show me how He has healed, delivered, and redeemed me. From July 2022 to about January 2023, I was plagued with the voice and thought that "it's too late" for me and that I've lost my salvation. Or that I've already died, and this is hell and that when I die again, I'll go there. However, I've learned that God has been with me all along and that He has truly healed, delivered, and renewed my mind. Nowadays, when I reflect on God's word, I know that He is the only truth and far surpasses what I believe or feel to be 'true'. I renew my mind daily with His word, and I know that Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the life. Despite what I went through, I am so beyond grateful to God because this was all a part of His divine plan for me. Prior to this experience, I was a Christian in name only, but was one foot in the world going down a dark path. God truly saved me. I know this in my heart to be true.

    Repent

  13. #13

I agree this world is negative. I see myself as creator manifester of what I want to experience even in death.

    Jesus is King. 🙏🙏

Hell is ridiculous. Even the pope said hell was a mythical place. Here is his exact quote: “They are not punished. Those who repent obtain God’s forgiveness and take their place among the ranks of those who contemplate him, but those who do not repent and cannot be forgiven disappear. A hell doesn’t exist, the disappearance of sinning souls exists.” If you are catholic and you believe the pope is ordained by God, this should mean something to you.

Fantastic story. Brave man to share this gem. God bless you.

  17. #17

That was a good one. I know Hell is a real place. It’s no joke. Most people are on the road to destruction and know it not, because the road is wide and it’s easy, like a freeway. The road to life is narrow, and difficult like a goat trail in the mountains and few people find it.

  18. #18

There is a lot of bible verses that speak of hell. There is also verses that talk of heaven. We choose to be good or evil in this life. A multitude of decisions decides the ending.

  20. #20

For god almighty is love and worthy of all respect and devotion

  21. #21

For the lord wants us to come to repentance and salvation but we shouldn't abuse that mercy as a license to sin but to rather feel good that we are saved from sinn and hell

  22. #22

Most definitely come to the lord jesus christ yeshua out of love rather than fear but we must have a healthy fear of the lord in us

  23. #23

When he's describing those people looking savages hitting each other reminds me of another video of another person going to hell and seeing them hit each other with all sorts of weapons, and it didn't hurt them they kept on, lots of crying & screaming 3:00 How creepy to say, it's not working. I wonder why that girl had one all white eye and one blue eye. As if being able to see in both realms, maybe she can save those who don't belong there?

  24. #24

Jesus died because we humans are insane and we crucified him and then grossly misconstrued his teachings

  25. #25

Why do some people go to hell?

  26. #26

I hope the person became proactive in improving his life, relationship with God. He was given more time for a reason. God's mercy makes us worthy.

  27. #27
  28. #28

This is a good lesson to those who affirm there is no Hell, encouraging people to live anyhow and die without Jesus! How sad!
Those NDEwithout God or Hell are from the yogist, meditation, nirvana believers.
    REPENT! TIME IS UP!
JESUS IS COMING, AND THEN JUDGMENT!
    MAY GOD ENLIGHT HIS PEOPLE!!!

  29. #29

This nde isn't so bad compared to other hell nde I've heard
