Simon Kimbangu was a Congolese prophet whose message of spiritual renewal and liberation shook the foundations of colonial and religious power in 1921. He healed the sick, challenged white missionary authority, and inspired thousands until Catholic and Protestant churches joined colonial forces to silence him. He was sentenced to life in prison for preaching faith.
